A Quiet Autumn Day with George

Yesterday was such a day of hustle and bustle, by evening I was exhausted! Took a really nice walk – Saturday was a crisp, clear, blue sky, windy day – took a good walk around the block, then decided to go to the dollar store to see what they were giving away, then went to the craft store and found a bunch of primitive goodies on sale, so I cleaned up without spending a bunch of money!

Came home and still had energy to burn (don’t know where I got it from, but it was certainly there!) so I did the unthinkable and scrubbed my bathroom down til it looked like the Crystal Palace. By then I was exhausted. Was supposed to go visit a friend but she had something going on at the last minute so it was just me and a glass of Glen Ellen Pinot Grigio.

Today I took my walk but the world was intermittently cloudy and sunny, and actually rather quiet and sleepy. – I tried to buckle down and do some work when I came back from my walk but wasn’t all that successful. I did clean up a bunch of old paperwork, and do some administrative stuff. Sometimes running your own business can exhaust you just thinking about it.

This is little George Nelson, my little boy cockatiel. It’s a cellphone picture, you can see he’s standing on my finger and I’m taking it with the other hand! He’s a little fuzzy but you can see how cute he is. He’s a baby in this picture – it was taken two years ago. He’s a little dude now, all grown up (he thinks!) Very sweet.
