We don’t believe in 3 way linking. Or 1 way linking. Why?

We’ll explain!

Although touted by some SEO experts as the way to go ~ either 1 way inbound links or 3 way linking ~ we disagree. 1 way inbound links are usually iinks you have to pay for. Rarely do these gems come free.

3 way linking, on the other hand, really has the potential to be lethal to your overall pagerank and website search engine visibility. It goes something like this:

Person 1has two websites ~ site A and site B. Person 2 has one website ~ site C.

Person 1 requests that Person 2 links site C to site B, and if they do that, then site A will link to site C in return.

So, although site C is linking to site B, site C gets no visibility on site B because site A is linking to C instead.

Why?

Site C ususally has decent pagerank and Site B is usually a new website or has no pagerank. The owner of Site B wants to get linked to sites with higher pagerank. Site A is usually a non-descript directory of websites, so Site C ends up buried way back on page 72, where no search engine robot has boldly gone before.

Here’s the penalty ~

If the owner of Site B does not beef up that website with good quality page content and excellent SEO, Site B will end up dragging Site C’s pagerank into the abyss. Site A does not contribute in the least.

Who suffers ~

In the end, Site C and it’s owner, Person 2, are the losers and hve not benefitted at all from the 3 way linking scheme, yet Site B gained better visibility, even if only temporarily.

So much for 3 way linking.

Reciprocal linking is faultless and only serves to benefit both parties. It’s also the oldest form of link exchanging on the Internet, time tested and proven.

I have various links categories that relate to my business in one way or another. Your website fits nicely into one of them, you link to me and place my code on your site. I activate your code on my end. My software checks that my link is active, alive and well on your site. All is good. If you delete or drop my link for some reason, my software automatically deletes your link.

This leaves no chance for anything but a nice, mutual, beneficial linking arrangement for both parties, commonly known as reciprocal linking, with each link being a valuable resource on the other’s website.
