Hand Crafted, Hand Painted Heirloom Ornaments
My newest line of gifts at Jewelry Collectibles are hand crafted, hand painted, holiday ~ Christmas ~ baby ornaments.
At the moment I don’t have any baby room ornaments as my neighbor bought the last one for her friend’s baby room ~ she thought the adorable little rocking horse would add the perfect little bit of home decor a la hand crafted touch!
Some ornaments are cross stitched, and some are hand painted ceramics. Which ever type you ultimately choose, each has been done with painstaking care and is highly detailed.
I ran into a huge quandry because my supplier of fine laces, the Ragshop, closed here in New Jersey unfortunately due to bankruptcy. {{{sobbing}}} It was a very sad day when I went there for the last time for the closeout sale back in August. Very sad indeed. And so, I was left without a supplier of fine laces……… very heavy sigh………
I searched online but I like to buy my fabrics and laces after I’ve met them personally. Not that I would not buy fabrics online, but I just like the tactile contact and to gaze at the fine-ness of the material. Well, the other day I decided to cruise Main Street in Hackensack NJ in search of a fabric store. Makes sense, I live there, and the fabric store that has been there for the better part of a century is closing their doors. I found another store, just full ~ and I mean busting full ~ of the finest fabrics, laces, ribbons, and with a FINE remnant table too!!
Plus I had just arranged a great vintage / antique lace deal with a special colleague of mine, Mary Ann, the owner of The Gatherings Antique Vintage. Now I have more than enough fine laces for all my projects!!!! WooHoo!!!!

Details on the hand painted ceramic ornaments are painstakingly painted on with toothpicks and needle points, where necessary, to be able to apply the details in the most professional manner and as perfectly as humanly possible. Notice I said “humanly possible” as every hand, no matter how talented or disciplined, WILL SHAKE, and always at the wrong time! LOL
ALL of the ceramic ornaments can be inscribed with a custom message on the back of the ornament from you to the recipient.
The cross stitch patterns are stitched from vintage, out of print patterns, and personally “edited” with my individual touchs, assuring you of complete unique-ness. They are also embellished with fine stitching from gold threads, to add that special touch!
