Another “Set” Completed! Silver Scarf and Evening Bag

I am just SO determined to get everything in order. I must admit, I let most stuff go to the dogs due to concentrating on my shows a little too much, and so, lesson learned. One of my biggest things in life is good, orderly organization and I’ve really been quite annoyed with myself that I let that go south as badly as I did.

It’s gratifying to straighten these things up. Having said that, another “set” is finished and on my website ready for purchase ~ of course, doesn’t *have* to be purchased as a set, but it’s all from the same material and would look so elegant and perfect on the right lady for the right event.

It’s the Silver and Crystal Evening Bag and the matching Silver Scarf.

Both of these gorgeous, shimmering, delectable items can be found here!

They were an absolute joy in creativity to come up with and work with. I had a great amount of fun designing the evening bag, beading it, and then complimenting it with the leftover woven yarn by creating the scarf.  All done in crochet.

If purchased as a set, and shipped to an address within the United States only, I will be more than willing to pick up your shipping and insurance. Yes, you read that right ~ FREE Shipping and Insurance. Your credit card will not be charged the shipping fee (which includes insurance).

Think what a wonderful gift for someone special, or, for yourself for special occasions. An heirloom ladies accessory set. What a treat!

Finally Updated My Squidoo Lens

It always seems that my poor Squidoo lens gets taken care of last these days.

Well, no matter. At least it’s been updated. Actually I gave it a whole makeover, from Bio on down through every module. Didn’t help raise the lens rank any, but I suspect that will happen over time. LOL I went from being in the Top 100 to all the way back at 940 in Shopping!!

If you get a chance to stop by my Squidoo lens, let me know what you think of the new look and the content! Thanks!

Jewelry Collectibles Baby Boutique Open

I had a spurt of energy and a fit of imagination for the past several weeks that has finally materialized. I always have carried crocheted baby clothing and cross stitched bibs on my website, but the whole setup quite frankly looked very lackluster.

So what I did was re-took all the pictures, even though most of my hat and bootie sets have sold at local shows, but no matter, I’ll make more! Anywho, I re-took all pictures, and re-designed the whole thing so that there is a baby boutique index, with the 3 product lines I currently carry, which morph out into sections for each product line and into an individual page for each item, just like on the rest of my website.

The new pictures look SO much better, and it’s given me quite a few ideas for future expansion of my baby product lines. Yes, my brain works on overtime.

Here’s an example of some items I currently have in stock:

Baby bibs cross stitched from vintage, out of print patterns, so very cutesy. ALL bibs are customizable with a message or the child’s name or whatever above the image.

Frog Meets Ladybug

Baby Hat and Bootie Sets, crocheted from my original patterns:

Beautiful peach…….. and they come in many more colors, although right now most are sold out.

Lovely baby blankets, very delicate looking, warm, and soft:

If you are interested, find out more about my Baby Boutique items here. Any and all items can be custom ordered in whatever color you want for your little darling! Purchases of sets are discounted nicely ~ bib, blanket and hat/booties.

Mauve Mountain Sunrise Set is DONE!!!

The aforementioned insanity of the other day paid off. Well, more or less. The picture taking went well and was uneventful in that the battery did not run out in the middle of the photo shoot; Elizabeth my iguana went to the vet and was pronounced “almost well” even though he decided to give her another two weeks of antibiotics; I was able to get in some serious SEO and other work on my website finally; and, today I was actually able to update my Squidoo lens for the first time in 38 days, or so Squidoo said in my lens freshness area ~ and I believe ‘em!

So, now, back to the Mauve Mountain Sunrise set. This is a lovely set of ladies fashion clothing / accessories ~ a V-shaped poncho; a very fashionable and very comfortable slouch hat; and a matching scarf. The material content is acrylic and acrylic/lambswool blend. Non-itchy. Soft as a baby’s bottom. I like to try to work with a little wool in my textile projects but always thinking of all the folks who are sensitive to it.

Here’s some pictures of the parts of the set. Of course, it does NOT have to be purchased as a set, but for the right person who falls in love with it, the whole “set” thing is nice, you know?

Here’s the fashion slouch hat:

I have an arts and crafts show next weekend on Saturday, and the week after that on Sunday. Should be fine and hopefully people will be more in the mood to buy. I hear from everyone that selling at shows this year is slow. Hopefully it picks up soon.

Well, now that I have all my pictures taken, I’ll have material for probably the rest of this week to post. I also have quite a few baby wall art ornaments to cross stitch, ceramic Christmas ornaments to paint, and I’m re-doing the baby boutique section of my website.

Re-taking all the pictures, have some new items, quite a few have sold. SOLD is a good thing.

OK now back to my Squidoo lens. It never ends, does it?!?!?!?

Busy Busy Day

Today is absolutely insane! I’ve spent much of my time since my last show getting organized and catching up. That last show, which was a complete bomb LOL ~ well to do town, outdoors, lovely lovely day, no one was buying. Didn’t even make table cost. Most of the vendors around me, who also had beautiful stuff, either just squeaked in their table cost or came up dry like myself. Ah, it happens.

Well, I’m caught up sort of ~ at least I’m telling myself that, no, I am, really!

So today and tomorrow I’m spending taking pictures of new products, re-taking pictures of current products, doing a bit of an overhaul on my website, doing much needed SEO on my website, tweaking my new forum, tweaking my new links management list, probably will make a post in my Marketplace later, updating my Squidoo lens (which has fallen into sad disrepair as I’ve had zero time to update it) and building a Squidoo lens for a client.

Also have to do some much needed SEO on my re-designed business services website, an overhaul of which I just completed yesterday. Plus my workbench is overflowing with new jewelry projects I really MUST get going with. And, I have two shows back to back 9 days from now to get ready for.

And tomorrow, Elizabeth my iguana goes back to the vet for her final checkup after “disappearing” for more than a week at the beginning of September. I was SO blessed that I was able to find her, be re-united with her, and that she was in fairly good shape, slight bacterial infection and a little damage from being outside and lost.

Yes, I promise I will tell Elizabeth’s story one of these days. This lady has quite a “tail ~ tale” to tell. If she could talk, which she can’t, so she relies on Mommy.

Here is Liz relaxing in her habitat with her right arm casually slung over the bar by her UVB light. She’s very close to 4 feet long.

 Nice life, eh?

Here’s a work in progress shot of a new poncho I am working on, in between quite a few custom orders of varying types and other “stuff” and projects.

It starts out as petal pink, works its way through a natural geranium mix, to ruby, to garnet, and now working it’s way backwards to the petal pink. It will have a coordinating cap, hat, scarf and more accessories to go with it.

Well that’s all I have time for today. I MUST get some lunch, and get back to photo editing and all that other stuff. I will probably get done by Sunday night. With Providence looking in on me and giving me a push now and again! LOL
