I decided, after much thought on the subject, to change my daily pattern of living just a bit to accommodate a more regular schedule of activities that were not only good for the body and soul but also would give me a sense of continuity every day no matter how insane life gets.

That said, one of those activities is a daily walk through a most splendid area of our local parks system. Today I did a leisurely walk of a total of 2.5 miles in quite chilly but lovely and refreshing November air!!! It was great. Everyone else was rushing about ~ the people I saw on the way ~ either walking briskly, or running ~ and there I was sightseeing the fantastic autumn colors, watching the ducks and geese, listening to songbirds, watching clouds overhead, and walking at a comfortable pace for me. I have somewhat severe scoliosis ( an inherited spinal curvature of 55 degrees ) which makes it impossible for me to run, or to walk very far without being able to sit and take the pressure off the cramp that develops on the side off the curvature and makes it’s way most painfully down my left leg.

So, I walk, sit on park benches on the way when I get tired, and when I get to the one rather long area where there are no park benches because it’s a good stretch of bike trail through a forested area, I find myself a good log or rock and enjoy the view.

My walk is in the Dunkerhook section of the Bergen County Parks System, starting off in Paramus. I take the bike trail towards the waterfall, go over the bridge to the waterfall, and then where you have the option of going straight or going over the next bridge, I go over the next bridge and follow that trail to the last marker, then turn around. Someday I will go farther, but not now. It’s a nice hour’s walk and then add on 20 minutes for the various sit-downs.

I come back feeling totally refreshed and energized.

I think it’s important to have a place on your website where customers can leave you a word or two about their purchase that they’ve made from you ~ it’s good for you so you know “how you’re doin’ ” and it’s good for future customers to be able to read the feedback, it instills consumer confidence that’s real and genuine.
